Sealed & packaging leak tester — non-destructive package seal integrity testing by vacuum decay (ASTM F2338)
G4/GV evaluates package seal integrity with the vacuum decay method, compliant with ASTM F2338-09 (2013) — Standard Test Method for Nondestructive Detection of Leaks in Packages by Vacuum Decay Method. The test runs in three steps: (A) the equipment electronically controls the test vacuum, (B) it checks for gross leaks by measuring the volume being analyzed, and (C) it detects micro-leaks by analyzing the pressure rise inside the chamber. Because the test is non-destructive, approved samples can go back to production instead of being discarded.
